This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personal information that we gather when you use our Products.

[0] Purpose of Information Collected

We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of our Products. This information enables us to tailor our Products to your needs.

We contain the following information

User Location Data

Our Products rely on geographic location data, and thus by default we collect location data.

We regularly ensure that the information collected is;

  1. as far as practicable, anonymous if collected as part of usage logs;
  2. accessible for purposes of deletion if it has specifically been stored by you as an user of our Products, and;
  3. unable to be publicly linked to user profiles for physical tracking of our users.

User Profile Information

In order for us to provide tailored services, you might be required to create an account or user profile with us. To prevent abuse, and for legal purposes, we require that you provide us with your full name, however we undertake to creating the facility to use an unique username for privacy purposes.

We will not intentionally disclose your full name on our Products, unless you have provided us with permission to do so. If we erroneously disclose such information, please kindly contact us and we will rectify such error.

Usage Logs

We collect usage logs in order to assist us with analysing usage to improve our Products, and we might collect real-time data for the purposes of predictive analyses. We will ensure that such usage logs cannot be linked to specific users by third-parties. We also use Usage Logs as a measure of ensuring fair usage of our services. We may use mechanisms and apparatus provided by devices on which you access our Products for logging purposes.

Other Information

We might incidentally collect other information not mentioned above, and unless we amend our Privacy Policy to include such information, we will ensure that we delete such information as far and timely as possible if we are made aware of such collection.

[2] Cookies

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your device's temporary storage through your Web browser to enable our Products to identify you from your device. We utilise "session" cookies, which expire when you shut down your device, and "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device until a specified period or you delete them.

We use cookies to remember your preferences, such as your login status on our Products, and any such preferences that we use to tailor your experience on our Products.

[3] How We Use the Information We Collect

We use the information we collect to provide our Products to you and make them better, develop new products, and protect us and our users. For example, we may use information to determine areas where we do not have sufficient routing information.

We also use the information we collect to provide you with tailored advertising that you might be interested in.

As a business, advertising is a necessary means for us to earn revenue to meet our expenses, and to continue providing you with access to our Products. We really appreciate you not using means of blocking our advertising.

[4] Transfer of Personal Information

Contact Databases

In the interest of the protection of personal information, we will explicitly not redistribute your personal information to third-parties without your consent. In the interest of good ethical principles, we pledge that we will not sell bulk information to third-parties.

If you have opted in by giving us permission, we may refer you to offers that you might be interested in from affiliated third-parties. Such referrals do not refer to advertising on our Products.

Legal Requests

In light of revelations of mass-surveillance and other privacy concers, we will disclose reasonable information relating to requests from legal agencies and governments as far as legally possible. We may disclose this information in a sufficient aggregation to still enable you to assess how we have disclosed your information, unless such manner might not be in the interest of national security or other reasonable national concern.

If Our Products are Acquired or Terminated

If any of our Products are acquired or terminated, we will provide you an opportunity to either delete or export your data. We will provide you with reasonable time, and make efforts to communicate such intention with you.

Deleting Accounts or Profles

If you delete your account with us, we may keep your information on our servers for a reasonable period as some information might be aggregated in backups and logs. We do however undertake to immediately delete your user details from our production servers within 72 hours.

[5] Safeguarding of Personal Information

We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft,

as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

[6] Legal Age

We understand that commuters may be young or old, and as such, as a reasoable minimum, you should be 13 years or older to use our Products. If you are younger than 16 years, we recommend that you use our Products with parental supervision.

[7] Conditions of Use

If you decide to use our Products, your usage and any possible dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use, including limitations on damages, or disputes, and application of Republic of South Africa laws.
